We have just begun to eat the round and straight courgettes from the garden, and have been enjoying our wonderful rainbow family of radishes (although-eek! Some of them are really HOT!!)
The sweetcorn plants seem to be growing well and we are starting to get some little beans from the dwarf and runner bean plants. The children love being able to harvest things and eat things straight from the garden. The raspberries are finished, and so are the cherries and apricots, but now we have the wild strawberries, and the first blackberries and plums and greengages. The Blue Danube potato plants have turned out to have the most beautiful mauve flowers, very profuse and last for ages- worth growing for the flowers alone even if we weren't going to get purple potatoes as well!
